The light drop-weight devices are used to determine the dynamic deformation modulus Evd [MN/m²] by means of the dynamic plate load test according to TP BF-StB Part B 8.3. This provides conclusions on the load-bearing capacity and compaction quality of soils.
The main field of application for light drop-weight equipment is earthworks and traffic route construction. Other areas of application are gardening and landscaping and soil exploration.
